The World Congress on Oils & Fats is finally coming home after the successful initiation in Sydney, back in 2009. Together with the Lectureship Series of the „International Society for Fat Research“ (ISF) it will attract a large number of oils & fats experts from all over the world. It is expected that over 500 delegates will attend, getting the latest info on oil production, processing & nutrition. Other focus topics include olive oil and marine oils, frying fats as well as animal nutrition and surfactants.
With more than 20 exhibitors, the participants will have the chance to learn about the latest technology on oils & fats. Bruker will show the MPA II FT-NIR spectrometer – hands-on live measurements will demonstrate its possibilities for the QC lab. But we are also happy to discuss your online process needs during the congress!
Before the lectures, an array of pre-congress workshops will be held, e.g. the workshop on Deep Fat Frying. It will cover new theoretical and practical aspects necessary for a better understanding of the frying process. During the workshop, we will present how FT-NIR spectroscopy can help to monitor degradation process of frying oils.
