In mid-March, a weather phenomenon known as blood rain created an almost apocalyptic atmosphere and left laundry, solar panels, and cars with a nasty reddish-orange dust. This event occurs when dust, often from the Sahara, is raised by wind and travels great distances in Earth’s atmosphere. Mixed with rain it covers everything like a shroud.
